The SmartHood has been designed to do what most other dust recovery hoods or shrouds are designed to do and more. It captures fine dust and directs it to a vacuum port.  It also is designed to handle heavier particles such as paint, ceramic tiles, thinners, and other adhesives.  
The SmartHood has the flexibility to ride up and over the various debris encountered in the floor preparation process. This flexibility also allow you to go up to walls and to push the sanding disc past the front of the hood to go under the drywall or skirting.
The SmartHood comes in three pieces that can be replaced as certain parts wear.  The Guard Ring is designed to be turned as the front of the hood wears out. The flexible material portion can be replaced by easily unsnapping the worn hood and snapping a new one on.  The plate is designed to attach to virtually all of the 7” and 9” angle grinders on the market today.
